Stop Throwing Away A GOOD Guy Because of His Looks or What You Think He Doesn’t Have

We as a society are so focused on looks. If he doesn’t look like something we throw him aside & vice versa. Due to social media & the times we live in, we are visual people and never look at the heart anymore.

The last couple of days God has been saying one thing over & over again: “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. 👉🏾👉🏾The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 👈🏾👈🏾 1 Samuel 16:7

I know a number of women who have turned down GREAT GODLY men (men do the same to women too) all because that man doesn’t look like their ideal man. He’s to short, fat, he’s a nerd, can’t dress, doesn’t have muscles, no abs, bank account isn’t 6 figures, doesn’t wear the right shoes, doesn’t have a nice car, etc. Think of the things you’ve said about certain men 🤔.

Welp..it’s time to look at the heart. Some of you are missing out on something good. Some of you are probably asking, “What am I still single or why am I single? This could be the reason why. I even hear God say: I sent him to you already but you rejected him because he didn’t have or look like what you thought he should have or look like. I can guarantee when you change your mindset and get the mindset of what God wants for you, you’re going to get the greatest surprise ever. That delay in marriage will end.

I just saw this in the Spirit: One of you just turned down a millionaire yesterday. You won’t believe it but some millionaires wear the same clothes everyday or drive in that beat up chevy and you turned him down. Smh🤦🏾‍♀️…all because he didn’t look the way you thought he should look😮. All because he wasn’t packaged the way you wanted him to be packaged.

You really should be looking at what does God want? Again, look at a person’s heart. ❤️❤️ Be open today. As always use discernment and hear what God says to do.

Disclaimer: I am NOT saying to settle. What I am saying is check your heart attitude. Sometimes the godly right Christian man you think isn’t the one could be the one but as always consult with God.

Delay?

Sometimes we think because it’s not here when we want it to be, it’s been denied. That’s totally not true. Habakkuk 2:3 says in The Amplified Bible: “For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time. It hurries toward the goal [of fulfillment]; it will not fail. Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it, Because it will certainly come; it will not delay.”

If it seems slow don’t despair. This is in reference to every area of our lives..husband, finances, success, etc. A very long delay doesn’t mean God doesn’t want you to have it. Like I always say there’s a reason for the wait—to prepare you, to get you ready, to develop character, 👉🏾👉🏾to make you appreciate it more👈🏾👈🏾, etc. The enemy wants you to think God has denied you. It’s not true & don’t believe it. The enemy just wants to make you fall & abort the promises of God by filling you w/ doubt and have you give up on what God promised u. You’re so close, don’t give up now. You need to remember that God has heard your prayer and it’s on the way. You haven’t been denied. Have faith you’re next.

Even in my own life I’ve had a lot of delay. I mean ALOT. There are still things that are delayed but I still hope in God. I know it’s coming. I know the delay is also for my good and the good of my family. Like I posted months ago from Luke 1:45 “Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” I know & believe it will be fulfilled & so I wait patiently. I wait in excitement. You have to do the same. There are reasons to a delay but whatever the reason know it’s coming. Know God has it for u. Don’t let the enemy or anyone else for that matter tell u otherwise.

You Want a King?

On Instagram (@sherylynnerochester) I posted: In order to get a king, you need to be in the presence of the King.

What stood out the most was in the comment I wrote: if you really had a relationship with God you wouldn’t be choosing the help. I know that sounds kind of harsh, but there are some people not worth your heart or your time. Some women are desperate for love so they choose anybody. To avoid this you have to be in the presence of the Lord every chance you get.

A lot of people don’t want to pray. They don’t want to spend time in the word and they don’t want to draw closer to God. When they do pray, it is only a prayer of God Send Me My Husband, now! There’s no deep connection, relationship, or communion with the Father. When singles pray that prayer without a true relationship or connection with God, here comes the help ready to bring you heartbreak.

Now, when I say the help, I’m talking about men that will do you wrong, cheat on you, rob you of your joy, and put you in a place where you’re far away from God to the point you are compromising your relationship with God just like Laila’s in the book, God Send Me My Husband. Now, that’s the help. But a king will treat you as a queen. A king will love you like Christ loves the Church. A king will want to be at the feet of King Jesus. A king will never cause you to compromise your relationship with the one and only true King.

But in order for you to know the difference between who the help is and who your king is, you need a relationship with the Father. When you fast, pray, and read the word of God it’s there you learn the King’s heart. It’s there you learn discernment. It’s there you’ll be able to face being single and being okay with it. It’s there you’ll learn how to treat and talk to the future king God will place in your life.

My favorite movie is One Night With The King. There came a point in time where she had to talk to the king God gave her but she couldn’t do it at any moment. So, what did she do? She fasted and prayed for three days. No food. Nothing. She got before her King. When the fast was over then and only then was she able to speak to her king. She was able to get to her king all because she went into the presence of the King, God first.

Get into the presence of God first before your king arrives. It will help so much in the long run.

So much happens when you’re in the presence of God. But, for all chosen and virtuous women of God (Christian singles) it’s in the presence of God where you’ll not only get God but you’ll get your king as well …in time.

Today, start with praying for 15 minutes and if you’re bold go for the full hour and more. Open the Bible and pray what you’ve read. Start there by spending time with the King who loves you first and only wants the best for you.

Save The Date? You want me to what?!?!

What would you do if you received dreams telling you to save the date?

STD

After getting that magical proposal from the man of your dreams, the first thing after securing a date and a venue are for brides to send out Save-the-Dates for their upcoming wedding. Just recently, I sent out my Save-the-Dates for our upcoming April wedding. We sent out acrylic mirror magnets in gold and silver. They were so beautiful. In fact, you’ll see reference to it in the book. It was sent out as a pre-invitation and gives guest extra notice of when the nuptials will be.

In the natural, sending out Save-the-Dates keep the guest in the loop and announces the wedding date, letting them know they will be invited. But, I believe there is also a spiritual save the date that God wants to share with those waiting for their future husband.

In my new book, Save The Date, Meghan continuously has dreams telling her to save the date but because she’s 35 and never married, she starts to believe it will never happen. She starts to believe she’ll never get married or even have a family. On top of that, she has a meddling mother that is always pushing her to find someone quick. All of these things cause Meghan to not believe God and rush things in the beginning which leads to a seriously dangerous situation. Through it all, God still gives her hope. Even through her doubt and fears God continuously tells her to save the date.

I believe, like Meghan, God is also sending this message to you too. He wants you to save the date. He wants you to know that He has someone so special for you but you have to believe again. No matter how long it takes, no matter what age you are, or how much people pester you about when you’re going to get married, God has a date for you and He wants you to save it so to speak.

How can you save a date you don’t even know?

Even though you may not know the exact date God still wants you to save it. How? Well, He’s not saying to save an actual date. Let me clear that up. He wants you to save the date just by having faith in Him and waiting on Him. If He tells you to believe in Him, He wants you to do just that. If He tells you something, you can trust and believe it will happen. One of my favorite scriptures is Isaiah 55:10-11. In a nutshell, it says the words that come out of God’s mouth will not return empy. What He says will happen. You just have to HAVE FAITH!

God wants you to save the date by believing that in His time, at the right time, you will send your own Save-the-Dates in the natural. He wants you to believe again and know that you will find your prince charming very soon but it all starts with your faith. Not only does God want you to save the date, but He also wants you to know that He’s going to give you a fairytale romance. You’ve waited so long and because of the wait, He’s going to give you the best. Your wait isn’t in vain. There’s a reason for the wait.

Will you trust God and save the date in faith?

So, I encourage you to read my latest book, Save The Date, you’re going to understand more and more about what God wants to do in your love life. You’re going to see what God will do when you save the date in faith. It’s FREE on Amazon Kindle for a LIMITED TIME ONLY!
